Picture of the Day – 6/28/2010 – The Maestro & His Puppet

Maestro Voronin – Gangs of New York’s Bill the Butcher blends with Bram Stoker’s Dracula to create Voronin’s 19th Century Circus all-seeing-all knowing-non speaking entrepreneur - The Maestro. The Doll – Love’s magical metamorphosis evolves the contorting Barbie-goes-Goth puppet (contortionist and performance artist Svetlana) caught under the Maestro’s spell into a real live woman. Together they inhabit the magical world of Maestro's Menagerie, now playing through August 29, 2010 at Teatro ZinZanni. Photo by Keith Brofsky

I was at this show on my Birthday June 26th…

I felt I was transported to another world of magic, beauty and wonder. It was awe~
Everything about it was beautiful, funny and wonderful… Thank you for putting on such a fabulous show. I hope to come back again to see another or possibly a brunch!

This was the best birthday present I have ever gotten.
